As the war between Peru and the forces of ModRE rages on with no sign of a ceasefire in sight, I’ve noticed some confusion around how, exactly, ModRE took control of Ecuador in the first place. Going by their Spanish acronym, the Ecuadorian Resistance Movement is considered to be a terrorist organization by most of the western world, but not entirely. For instance, Mexico—despite close ties with the United States of America—has only applied that severe label to the military wing of ModRE. ...
